I was born and raised in Red Bud, IL. were I attended and graduated from Red Bud High School. After graduation I attended my first year of college at Southwestern Illinois Community College in Belleville before transferring to Southern Illinois University of Carbondale. While attending classes in Carbondale, I studied Human Biology before transferring to the Accelerated Science Program at Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, MO. Upon completion of the Accelerated Science Program I immediately started the Doctor of Chiropractic Program while still working towards my Bachelors Degree in Human Biology.

While at Logan College of Chiropractic, I was a member of the Fraternity Chi Rho Sigma and was Vice President for four trimesters. As a member I had the opportunity to join several mentor groups with experienced doctors that have been in practice for many years. I also worked in a private practice as a chiropractic assistant on weekends to better learn communication skills and office flow. Working with these doctors gave me the ability to effectively communicate with patients to get a full understanding of their needs, thus allowing me to hone my adjusting and diagnostic skills to get the best possible results for the patients.

Upon graduating from the Doctor of Chiropractic program I began working at Southern Illinois Spine and Joint Center in the Marissa office and had the opportunity to shadow recently retired Dr. Gary Benedict. While using many of the same techniques as Dr. Benedict, I also offer acupuncture that can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions.
